An Open Letter to miserably ill The Quint’s owner Raghav Bahl

Hi Raghav Bahl

So after watching The Quint’s video on Sri Sri Ravi Shankar busted by the OpIndia Team, I went to check your website. I landed up on your about section which has Quint’s story. Though you guys are suffering from FOMO – Fear Of Missing Out (As mentioned in OUR STORY section on your about page), let me tell you that it’s okay if you don’t publish the story. It is okay but at least don’t put the blatant lies and defamatory content. Seriously, you might be ill and be suffering but it is better to be truthful.

I know – getting page views these days is a big task and everyone is thinking how to get more views. Some try cheap tricks of buying views, some spam the world with their links but you guys are little professional – you played the age-old trick of putting fancy title and obviously targeting a spiritual Guru – always gets action when you are in India. This is also a kind of disease which is spreading widely in the digital world and especially it gets triggered when there’s something related to Hindu leaders, saints, traditions, culture etc. I don’t know why but this disease seems to be deadly and it is really spreading. Perhaps busting the affected people/platforms or simply, closing them down – might help in curing this disease. But let me tell you this – there are some highly infected platforms (Your’s on the edge…  “Apologise” is a good pill which can save you) who are getting miserable day by day.

If it is not the disease and you really cared for the land and environment and what not, then we are curious to know why did you just put those blatant lies and manipulate the world with it? Were you misguided from someone like Vimlendu Jha – the self-proclaimed environmentalist? Or there’s some other reason?

If you really think that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s World Culture Festival destroyed the Yamuna, then let me suggest you to read this mind-blowing research and answer from my dear friend Soham Dsuza – (Here’s the link – http://qr.ae/TUTbYh  )

Also, you can watch the fact-based video (Maybe you guys should try something this – conveying msgs with facts) shared by Art of Living team – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_g9xM8VUQg

For a moment your platform seriously ridiculed me because of that story when I saw the OpIndia’s video but then I saw – FOMO. Your platform is ill. Seriously ill.

Anyway, it is up to you to look into your team and decide. You asked for an idea on that same page. I have a brilliant idea for you. Maybe – APOLOGISE to your readers and also to Art of Living and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on spreading misinformation. I know it is hard to accept the mistake publicly but believe me it will cure so many of illness and mental trauma. Maybe it will cure Quint’s FOMO. I love you guys – you are doing fantastic work, your writers, editors, graphic designers – Woah!! You guys are really cool and I sincerely want to help you. The cure is better than a heart attack.

By the way, I have some question for you & I will wait for your answer –

  1. Are you going to apologize to Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and your readers for spreading misinformation? If YES – then When? If NO – then Why?
  2. This is not the first time you caught spreading the news – will you consider changing your team?
  3. There are so many negative articles on Hindu festivals, traditions, culture on The Quint’s website – do you have any personal grudge or you are being PAID to do this?

Sincerely,

Not your READER!

    Hi Prasad,
Sorry for the very plain invectives used in the below text (edit them if you want to) but i just has to spew this out.

I was looking to post a comment on some rubbish article written by Raghav Bahl of Quint, frustratingly found that there’s no way to respond to the nonsense this fucking right of center of the left butcheek asshole writes supporting the Congress trump card NYAY in the name of liberal economics.

I’m neither a follower of BJP nor a fan of Modi but surely admire someone who is a good leader and a good administrator, someone who has the balls to get things done in a complex country like ours where otherwise everyone is busy pulling down others in the hope of rising up amongst the teeming millions.

Coming to this stupidity called NYAY we have seen this in many different names and forms but the end result is that youth get free money get used to the ‘good life’ nobody wants to work in the villages or towns, take to drinking and gambling and other ills. We all are all too familar with the adage “baitha thala mann shaitan ka dimaag hai”

Agricultural and industrial labour gets scarce and the expensive decreasing output of these sectors. Will lead to shutdown of many small scale industries (who actually survive on cheap labour) and also some of the medium and large industries which will not be able to compete with the minimum wage of Rs.12000 per month (woh bhi baithe baithe)

It will be a slow but sure death knell for our economy which this fucking right of center says professes as a trump card. Anyway its election season and we are going to see lots of these nonsense hurled from many parties. Pray to Almighty that good sense prevails in just enough people to thumbs down such nonsense as NYAY and give a thumbs up to diginity of labour and work ethic.
